Cute animal character for eco-games & apps
I designed this cute snow leopard mascot named "Pompom". Please read my reasoning and design idea written below.
Character Name: Pompom
Species: Snow leopard
Habitat: Snow-capped mountains, where Pompom loves to play with his friends, tossing snowballs and sliding down icy slopes.
Concern: Pompom has noticed that the snow is melting faster each year due to carbon emissions and the increasing carbon footprint. This not only threatens his fun but also the survival of his entire ecosystem and space for Pompom and his friends to play & roam freely.
Personality: Empathetic, innocent, determined, hopeful
Symbolism: Pompom holding a small snowball is a powerful symbol of the receding snow in his habitat, it represents what little snow is left for him to play with. The background with scarce snowfall on the ground visually represents the diminishing snow in Pompom’s habitat. This setting reinforces the narrative of receding snow due to climate change and human activities, making the environmental issue clear and immediate. He wears a colorful scarf, adding a touch of warmth and personality to his character.
Pompom’s cute & expressive character can grab attention effectively. Its sad expression & situation create an emotional connection with the audience, making the environmental message impactful. People are more likely to respond to & remember a cause when they feel empathy. By personalizing the effects of climate change through Pompom's story, we can inspire individuals to take action in their daily lives to reduce their carbon footprint and support environmental initiatives.
